A place where the name lends itself synonymous to salt – Pangasinan; do you see it? Pang – asinan, meaning a place of saltworks. Ilocos, aka Region 1 is Pangasinan; famous for its sea waters, fishing industry and SALT.

To taste the region, locals know that salt is one of its most important ingredients; from the famous Alaminos Longganisa aka Longganisa Pangasinan, differing from all other regional varieties because of its use and preparation with salt. You just have to taste it, yummy! Bagoong, fish sauce differs in this region because of how it's fermented with salt and anchovies or little fishies. Delicious! A taste of Pangasinan are from single origin farms and includes both of our salts from the Ilocos Region so you can explore flavors with our beautiful sea salts.

ILOCANO ASIN is a mild, mineral-rich sea salt. Powered by underlying minerals, this is a complex and well-balanced salt. Use for grilling, roasting and finishing to boost all foods from sweet to savory.

So, when we find it, we are very lucky to have it. SUGPO ASIN is a bold, full-bodied sea salt, yet it wears its weight gracefully. This is a moist, naturally pink sea salt that originates from a sustainable dual crop system. Half the year the property is a shrimp farm, and the other half, a salt farm; as a result, the salt obtains a bold briny flavor profile — a true flavor enhancer for fowl, fin and swine.
